Beta notice: PeptiJournal is currently in beta. Calculator math and RUO research protocol summaries should be independently double-checked against source literature before use in any research workflow.

    §Editorial processResearch Use Only

    Methodology.

How a protocol reference on PeptiJournal is compiled, what is transcribed from a source, what is calculated from it, and what the result is not.

Research Use Only. PeptiJournal supports private research documentation and calculation support. It does not provide medical advice, human-use directions, or claims of safety or effectiveness.

    Where the material comes from

Protocol reference tables are compiled from published protocol references and from manufacturer and vendor reconstitution guidance for the compound. Nothing in a table originates with PeptiJournal: each entry is a transcription of what a specific published document states.

Every catalog entry that carries a compiled table also carries the URL of the source that table came from, published at the foot of the page as its cited guide source. If a reader disagrees with a figure, the source is one click away and is the authority — not this site.

    Source values and derived values

Every number shown on a protocol page is one of two kinds, and the distinction matters:

    Source

Transcribed from the cited document as published — vial amount, reconstitution liquid volume, phase amounts, cadence, cycle length, storage and handling notes. Source values are never rounded, normalised, or rewritten to read better.

    Derived

Computed from source values by arithmetic only — concentration from vial amount divided by reconstitution volume, a calculated volume from a reference amount divided by that concentration, supply projections from cadence and cycle length. A derived value adds no judgement of its own: change the source and the derived figure changes with it.

Where a cited source does not unambiguously supply all of the inputs a calculation needs — one vial amount, one per-event amount, one cadence, one reconstitution volume — the page shows no calculated value at all and says so. A missing input is never filled in from general library metadata or from another entry.

Values are recomputed per vial size

A compound is commonly published in more than one vial size. The same cited protocol reconstituted in a 5 mg vial and a 10 mg vial produces different concentrations and therefore different calculated volumes, so each vial size is computed independently over its own source table rather than rescaled from a single default.

The selected vial size is carried in the page URL, so a given address always resolves to one specific set of source values and one specific set of derived figures. Vial variants share the same canonical URL because they describe the same compound.

    Blends and stacks

Entries covering more than one material keep their cited table for reference, but component-level amounts are deliberately not converted into calculated volumes, reconstitution figures, or supply projections. Splitting a combined published amount across components would produce a number no source states.

    Compound identity and literature

Where a public registry entry exists, catalog entries record external chemical identifiers — CAS number, PubChem CID, ChEMBL and DrugBank identifiers, molecular formula and mass — so a reader can confirm which compound a page is about before reading anything else about it. Cited literature is listed per entry where the source material provides it.

    Updates and corrections

Each catalog entry shows a visible last-updated date reflecting when that entry was last changed. Corrections — a misread source, a link that has moved, a derived figure that does not follow from its table — can be sent to support@peptijournal.com with the page URL, and change that date when applied.

    Limitations

Research Use Only. PeptiJournal supports private research documentation and calculation support. It does not provide medical advice, human-use directions, or claims of safety or effectiveness.

This methodology describes how published material is compiled and how arithmetic is applied to it. It does not make that material correct, applicable, or safe. Nothing on PeptiJournal is medical advice, a treatment recommendation, or a recommendation to use any compound, in any amount, by any route. A protocol reference records what a source published; it is not an instruction, and inclusion of a compound is not an endorsement of it or a claim about its safety or effectiveness.

Compiled sources are secondary material of varying quality and are not peer-reviewed by PeptiJournal. Regulatory status varies by jurisdiction and is the reader’s responsibility.
