Mechanism of action

Kisspeptin-10 is the shortest active fragment of kisspeptin, which activates the KISS1 receptor on GnRH neurons and drives LH, FSH and, in men, testosterone release.

Observed research endpoints

  • In healthy men, a kisspeptin-10 infusion raised mean LH about fourfold and testosterone by roughly 45%, and increased LH pulse frequency.
  • A 2026 randomized study found daily infusions sustained gonadotropin increases for 12 days, while continuous infusion for 5 days kept testosterone up but gonadotropins returned to vehicle levels.
